INESLE Madrid

Our school is located in the northern area of the city of Madrid. This is a pleasant residential area with plenty of green zones and large recreation areas.

This area is well connected to the center of the city, where most of the students’ cultural activities will be held.

Capital city of fun and learning

Madrid is the capital of Spain. It is also the country’s largest and most populous city. Today it is incredibly varied and cosmopolitan, welcoming visitors and residents from all around the World. The city is very safe and enjoys a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere. It’s a city that begs to be enjoyed.

Madrid offers something for everybody, whatever their age, interests, tastes and needs. Most attractions are free for visitors to enjoy simply by opening their eyes and enjoying the captivating views and spaces that are open to all. And within easy reach of Madrid, the region offers so many other incredible experiences.

Spectacular cultural heritage

This historic city’s many attractions include its monumental and cultural heritage sites such as Plaza Mayor, the Royal Opera Theatre, Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace. Madrid’s Prado Museum is one of the most important art galleries in the world. The city also boasts two other institutions of world-renown in the Reina Sofia National Art Museum and the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum.

As well as these and its many other museums that house spectacular collections, Madrid also hosts a wealth of cultural activities (cinema, theater, music, dance) all year round. Less than ninety minutes from Madrid you’ll find UNESCO-listed World Heritage cities full of outstanding historical monuments including Toledo, Segovia, Avila, Aranjuez and Alcalá de Henares.

Unrivalled sports facilities

Madrid is a city well known for its sport. The city is home to some of the best professional football (soccer) teams in the World such as Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid. There’s no question that it has world-class facilities. There are numerous stadiums and venues, sports centres with Olympic swimming pools, tennis clubs, cycling tracks and skating rinks. And, of course, there are the large city parks where you can practice sports surrounded by nature.

Entertainment for all ages and tastes

Children, teenagers and adults alike will find numerous options for fun and entertainment in Madrid in zoos, amusement and theme parks.

Safe and comfortable residential areas

Participate on our summer program in Madrid and you’ll stay with a family that lives in the northern area of the city of Madrid. This is a pleasant residential area with plenty of green zones and large recreation areas. Specifically, our host families live in the neighborhoods of Montecarmelo, Mirasierra, Las Tablas, Sanchinarro, Barrio del Pilar, Ciudad de los Periodistas and Alcobendas.

This area is well connected to the centre of the city, where most of the students’ cultural activities will be held.
