Madrid
As the vibrant capital of Spain, Madrid seamlessly blends historical greatness with the excitement of city life. Its streets are lined with iconic landmarks such as the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor, while world-class museums like El Prado and the Reina Sofía showcase masterpieces by artists like Velázquez and Picasso. The city also boasts expansive green spaces like El Retiro Park, offering a perfect balance between urban energy and serene nature. Students will stay at the RESA residence, equipped with modern amenities including coworking spaces, a gym and study rooms—providing a comfortable and engaging environment for their stay.
Santander
Santander, located in the northern coast of Spain, is an elegant port city noted for its natural beauty and rich history. With its spectacular bay, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, the city offers fine sand beaches such as El Sardinero and peaceful walks surrounded by impressive landscapes. Students will have the opportunity to receive surf lessons during the two weeks of their stay. Santander combines its seafaring character with a cultural atmosphere, reflected in places such as the Botín Center and the Magdalena Palace. In addition, its parks, such as Mataleñas, and its delicious cuisine, focused on seafood, make Santander a charming destination that balances nature, history and modernity.
Activities
During this summer program, besides attending spanish classes, students will enjoy an experience full of cultural and recreational activities. They will visit important museums and emblematic buildings, where they will learn about the history and art of the cities. Among the destinations for the day-trips, Toledo, Burgos, Bilbao and Comillas stand out for their cathedrals and their large historical background. Segovia has its own great archaeological riches like the aqueduct, a symbol of Roman engineering. They will also explore the impressive caves near Santander, a natural treasure steeped in history. To culminate the adventure, they will have fun at an exciting amusement park, combining learning and entertainment in an unforgettable trip.
Educational institutions
Students will take their classes at Santa María La Blanca School. They will enjoy modern academic and sports facilities in a safe and welcoming environment in the north of Madrid. Located in a residential neighbourhood, the school provides an ideal atmosphere for learning. At INESLE, we are also responsible for the internationalization department of this school. That is why we can ensure a comprehensive and high-quality educational experience for the students.
In Santander, students will attend the Campus of Las Llamas at the UIMP - Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, where Spanish courses are offered all year-round. They will enjoy the region’s stunning natural landscapes, exceptional cuisine and a wide range of outdoor activities, including golf and surfing lessons.
“I enjoyed my experience at INESLE Madrid very much. Meeting students from around the world, and the rich exchange of both language and culture was a fantastic experience that the INESLE program provided me. The opportunity to fully immerse myself in the culture of Spain – while learning to live like a Spaniard, I will treasure indefinitely. It was an honor to be part of the 2022 INESLE Madrid program, and I wish the best for future students.”

“My experience at INESLE Madrid has been an unforgettable one. In a matter of 4 weeks, I was able to immerse myself in a cultural and educational experience that has helped me to feel not only more confident with my linguistic abilities, but also with my views on world politics, mass culture and more. This has been a trip of discovery and quite frankly, I have completely fallen in love with this country. I couldn´t be more grateful to everyone who helped to make my time here all that it was”

“I absolutely loved the cultural trips around Madrid and around Spain. I appreciated the tours in the other language so while we were enjoying access to some of Spain’s most impressive locations we learned about art, architecture and were still immersed in the Spanish language.

Most memorable of these tours was the Tour through the Museo de la Reina Sofia and lecture at the Guernica.”
